The opthamologist recommended the eye surgery. I am glad, but also sad that my baby has to have surgery! It will be an outpatient thing, but he will still have to undergo general anesthesia. They will put a stint in his tear duct that will stay there for 6-8 weeks. The plan is for the stint to stretch the tear duct out so that it won't close up again.
6-8 weeks for the follow up we will for sure have a newborn... busy times.
